You are looking at an original Bronze Sculpture Statue created by Thomas Schomberg (http://www.schombergstudios.com/ ) "THE SWIMMER" This piece is in excellent condition and a wonderful collectors piece for that special athlete Casting number 5 of 8, "The Swimmer" valued at over $11,000 dollars, it is well worth every penny. Look at these photos!! It looks like the swimmer is on the verge of fighting for the finish, Mr Schomberg captured every detail in this amazing piece.. Truly an original in every sense of the word, This statue/ Sculpture measures approximately 28" long by 12.5" high and has a depth of about 6.5". certainly Mr. Schomberg the artist really put his whole heart into this magnificent piece!! Mr Schomberg has pursued a central theme, from is youthful days of his midwest exposure in Iowa, he has spent the last three decades of creativity, and that is to describe the time and enviroment in which he lives. Mr. Schomberg's sculptures are exhibited and collected internationally. His work can be found in permanent collections of the National Museum of Sport, the Colorado Fine Art Museum and the Bulter Institute of American Art, the Shenyang National Gallery, the United States Olympic Training Center, Yankee Stadium, the Spectrum, The Astrodome, The Superdome, March Airfield Museum, and many others. Another major accomplishment in his career was to create in 1991 the sculpure of Rocky in the movie Rocky IV.
