It measures approximately 10-11 ft tall, by about 6 -7 feet at its most wide (view the picture with  me [6'2"] standing next to it). The piece has multiple parts that move, (the "flower-pellers"spin, and the leaves flutter in the breeze), and the upper branches disassemble from the main body of the trunk for moving and transport. This sculpture was by far the most elaborate and pains taking piece of this type I've done to date. Do to the complexity of the design and fabrication, at almost every turn a new problem needed to be solved or a new technique utilized. Not to sound corny, but in the end it became a real labor of love and I no longer wished for it to be displayed publicly by the city of Yuma's Fine Art Center as originally intended. It is currently only available through me or my gallery, who is asking $8,000 for the piece. The sculpture is signed and has a brushed steel finish and is coated with a high performance interior/exterior satin  lacquer called Permalac. Specifically designed for both indoor and outdoor sculpture, this coating protects even in extreme weather conditions for a minimum of 10 years.     You can view more images and video of the sculpture at my website given below. Included with the purchase, I will custom design a mounting/installation solution to meet your needs."I appreciate your concern, thank you. Despite its looks, the piece is very durable, and the upper branches, those with the "flower-pellers" and leaves, separate from "hubs" mounted to each of the two large branches that diverge from, and are part of the trunk. The hubs themselves can be removed, as they are bolted to the ends of each large branch, with the bolt and nut hidden in the center of the hubs. Take a close look at some of the pictures on my site, (http://jasonstillmanart.com) after clicking on them they will blowup further by clicking again. They would also be packed with great care to insure no damage during shipping. The piece also assembles very easily. The truck itself is very durable. Under the formed steel sheet that makes up the skin of the truck, there is a steel rod frame. The vertical welds on the trunk are where the formed sheet is welded directly to the rod frame underneath. So the thing is incredibly strong. I feel confident that, straddling the two main branches, it would easily support a 200(lb) person. Given this, by welding 1/2" rod bent into small half cicles, for instance, to the frame at the base of the piece, you could securely bolt the work to a concrete slab or a tree stump. However you want to display it, I am sure we will find a solution. I don't think I had it on a piece of tree, in the pictures it is free standing. Boy, that was a lot to get out.
